Events coordinator Jerry Miller has come up with some ideas for rides and activities we can participate in as a Club this riding season. Here's his list, with approximate mileages and one-way travel times (from MapQuest). Links to event websites are included and will open in new windows.

June 12-14, 2008 Sturgis On The River, Davenport IA. 315 miles / 5 hrs.
June 20-21, 2008 Awesome Biker Nights, Sioux City IA. 100 miles / 1.75 hrs
June 28, 2008 J & P Cycles Open House, Anmosa IA. 300 miles / 4.5 hrs.
July 3-5, 2008 ABATE of Iowa Freedom Rally, Algona IA. 200 miles / 5 hrs.
Aug 4-10, 2008 68th Annual Sturgis Rally, Sturgis SD. 550 miles / 8 hrs.
Aug 21-24, 2008 Hawgstock, Winterset IA 130 miles / 2.25 hrs.
Aug 29-Sept 1, 2008 Thunder in the Rockies, Loveland CO. 530 miles / 7.5 hrs.
Sept 5-7, 2008 Loess Hills Rally, Council Bluffs IA

Maybe we could start planning on doing some of these as a group this year. Now's the time to start planning vacation time from work and coordinating with the Club if we want to do any of them together. There are web sites for these rallys if you want to check out details. If anyone has info on other events feel free to speak up. There you have it; I can lead a horse to water but I can't make it drink!
